In Pennsylvania elections are overseen by the Pennsylvania Department of State.

REGISTERING TO VOTE IN PENNSYLVANIA:
Voters must register 30 days before an election.
Closed Primaries, meaning voters must vote in the primary of the party with which they are registered. Unaffiliated voters are unable to vote in primaries.
WAYS TO VOTE:
In Person on Election Day
Absentee (Ballot applications must be submitted to County Board of Elections by 4:00pm the Tuesday before the election. Ballots must be returned by 5:00pm the Friday before the election. You can also apply in person for an absentee ballot.)
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
ID is required to vote for first-time voters and absentee voters.
First-time voters voting in-person must present either a photo ID or a non-photo ID that includes their name and address. Acceptable forms of photo ID include: PA Driver’s License or PennDOT ID card, PA Commonwealth issued ID, U.S. Government issued ID, U.S. Passport, Military ID, Student ID, or Employee ID. Acceptable forms of non-photo ID (must include name and address) include: Voter Registration Card, PA Commonwealth issued ID, US Government issued ID, Firearm permit, Utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or government check.
Absentee ballot applications must include a PA Driver’s License #, Social Security #, OR copy of above-listed ID
