In Massachusetts elections are overseen by the Massachusetts Secretary of State Election Division.

REGISTERING TO VOTE IN MASSACHUSETTS :
Voters must register 20 days before an election.
Semi-Closed Primaries, meaning voters who are registered with a party must vote in that party’s primary, but unaffiliated voters can request any ballot.
WAYS TO VOTE:
In Person on Election Day
Early (Available only during even year, ie federal, elections. More information available here.
By Mail (Also available only for even year elections. Fill out an Early Ballot Application to request one.)
Absentee (Ballot applications must be received by local election offices by noon on the day before the election. Excuse required. Applications can be emailed with scanned signature. More information on absentee voting available here.)
