In Kansas elections are overseen by the Kansas Secretary of State.

REGISTERING TO VOTE IN Kansas:
Deadline for registration is 21 day prior to the election.
If you move to Kansas within 45 days of of a presidential election or to a new precinct within Kansas within 20 days of an election, you may be given a ballot containing only the presidential candidates.
Closed Primaries, meaning voters must register with a party in order to vote in their primary.
WAYS TO VOTE:
In Person on Election Day
Early / Advance Voting (Registered voters may vote in person in the county election office starting the Tuesday before election day, or up to 20 days before the election, depending on the county, and ending the day before Election Day. More info here.)
By Mail (Application available here and must be received by the Friday before Election Day. Ballots must be returned by mail or in person to your local elections office by 7:00pm on Election Day.)

ID is required to vote.
Acceptable ID list and instructions for obtaining a free voter ID are available here.
Acceptable ID list includes: a DL or nondriver's ID card from any state, US passport, student ID from any Kansas college or university, government employee ID, US military ID, concealed carry of handgun license issued by any US state, tribal ID card, government-issued public assistant ID card.
